Letting go - Discover the power within



We have all heard of letting go, we know there are times when we really have to let go, but how many times can we truly let go and how many times have we woken up to sheer magic and miracles when we have totally let go, most times because we have got distracted from the problem at hand by some other problem...:) or we just give up because we are just too tired to fight it anymore and voila..magic... suddenly things just seem to fall into place or get resolved magically... :) feels wonderful doesn't it?

So what did we do there that changed things? when we got distracted or just too tired of bothering? what snapped?


It is our emotional attachment or investment to the issue or problem. The moment we let go of it, we stop holding on to the problem in the current state as we perceive it with all our emotions. The moment we stop perceiving it as we have it has to change, vanish, get better.

So we have been doing this pretty much as default behavior, feel awesome when we stop thinking about a problem and it just dissolves, but most of the time fail to do it consciously.

Yes, I do agree, it is not that easy, when we have smoke pouring out of our ears because we are so angry with something or someone or just so deep into the emotion that everything else is invisible to us.

But what if all we had to do was just acknowledge the problem and identify our emotional attachment to it as a start. A small baby step, accept we have the problem and understand that we have a truckload of feelings attached to it, and feel good that we have taken that step.

Okay, now that is done what next, we cannot leave it here after acknowledging and accepting... now what if we can still learn to accept ourselves with all the things that are happening in our lives?
Easier said than done? I totally agree.

But then if you are indeed ready to try something like this... just to see if it works, conscious letting go of all our attachment to the emotions that probably want us to tear our hair out or throw the most remarkable tantrum or maybe treat a tub of ice cream as our best friend and drown our sorrows in it, then EFT(Emotional Freedom Technique) is probably the best possible way to do it, and the simplest one too.

It is also extraordinarily gentle as the tool is literally at your fingertips. But dear friends please do not forget the roles of two other aspects that play an equally important role with the use of the Emotional Freedom Technique. the 2 P's - Patience and persistence.

The shift that starts happening as if a weight is being lifted of your shoulders as you begin the process of letting go - consciously- bit by bit is something that needs more to be experienced than explained.

Let me put it this way, if you have a problem, as long as you are in a tug-of-war with it, with the rope representing the emotional attachment to the problem, what happens? and what happens once you let go of the rope? I hope you have got my point... :-)

We all go through such attacks at least a few times in our lives. But what's most important are the choices we make when such an attack occurs.  These attacks want us to make the wrong choices. It gives them more leverage. When I experienced this energy attack, possibly one of the longest running attacks, it took me a while to realize it.  It felt as if everyone and everything was against me. I was experiencing feelings and emotions that did not feel like mine. All I wanted to do was to rave and rant.  But once I realized that all of it felt unnatural, I knew I've to start moving out all these energies that weren't mine. The power of a boomerang curse

There was some illegal activity happening in the neighborhood and as residents of the area, most of us were rightly concerned and were trying to handle it legally. But in the process, one of the concerned persons (let's call them person X) vehemently cursed those involved in the illegal activity (let's call the person Y), wishing destruction upon their property.  I was nearby and heard the curse and the instinctively knew that was not a good sign. My heart skipped a beat and I suddenly felt unsafe. Unfortunately, I did not act upon my instincts and reverse the cure. Sure enough, the curse rebound back in less than a week affecting not just the property of 'person X', but also everyone else nearby, including me.  The damage that happened was EXACTLY the same as what 'person X' had curs...
