Emotional Triggers - What do they tell you?

Some triggers can be intense enough to elicit a strong reaction from you, that the other person is left wondering "What did I do wrong? " How often have you stopped and stepped back to ask yourself this "Why was I triggered so much? " "Which of those words triggered me? " "Why am I so affected? "  Once you get these answers you can save yourself and your loved ones a lot of pain.  Because triggers are just that. They point you in the direction of the real emotion that has been still left unprocessed inside. Either emotion that you do not want to look at or emotions that are desperate for an outlet. Create a gratitude group

As I mentioned in the previous article, we have no shortage of distractions in our everyday life as every single second, minute, and hour slips away from us before we even realize it is gone.  I also gave a method by which we can consciously focus on being grateful throughout the day.  In this article, I want to suggest another method that can possibly be even more fun in our journey towards a more grateful living. Get a group of friends you can connect with and create a gratitude group. You can help each other and guide each other to stay on the path of gratitude. You can even help each other notice more things to be grateful for.  Even if, in a group of 3-4 people, each can have 2 things to be grateful for twice a week, it is a good place to start.  There are times when

The wonder years as amazing as they are, are also the years when our brains accept all information without question. So they are also crucial years to form all kinds of beliefs. Some beliefs may be from our own experiences, while others can even be formed while listening to a conversation between adults, or even from media. In fact, these days media also counts among the most powerful influencers in belief formation. These beliefs can also start from the simplest of habits like putting on the right sock before the left. Or if the parents use harmless threats to get their child to do something. Maybe something like "If you leave your towel by the door, you'll have bad luck all day." The cycle of manifestation and self-sabotage

But so very often as we get closer and closer to the goal, something seems to pull us away.  As we start noticing the signs and signals that we are almost there, things invariably start going wrong or falling apart. If it is a relationship manifestation, there may be unexplained conflicts. If it is a job manifestation, the last round of interviews may probably get postponed for no reason. Procrastination Vs Intuition

In this article let's see another aspect of it, with respect to our intuition.  Is procrastination always a bad thing? Or is it that intense resistance you feel to do something, is because of a gut feeling that is forcing you to look in a different direction?  Our intuition is extremely powerful, should we choose to listen to it. And it tries to tell us in multiple ways when something is off or just does not feel right. Like maybe the resistance you feel when you've to make an important investment or meet someone or the phone call that you keep putting off or maybe even the resistance you feel when you've to apply for a certain job. Is it all just laziness or is your mind and body trying to point you in a different direction? A better one maybe?  It could help to talk

Most of you would have heard of it and a lot of you may have also tried it and experienced the multiple benefits of this simple exercise.  For the uninitiated, energy cords or etheric cords form as a result of physical, mental, and emotional attachments to others, to various experiences, and even to objects. The cords can be both positive and negative. The positive cords can inspire us, motivate us, energize us, and may even bring out the best in us. But the negative cords can make us feel drained, lethargic, dull, and mostly give us a constant feeling that something is off.  We all have multiple cords attached to us at all times, but energy is always changing, shifting and moving, and a lot of old cords do wither away and fall off with time. The Universe is a good listener

The universe is also listening to all the self-talks I mentioned about in the previous article. But this is about something different. Have you ever tried sitting down and just talking to the Universe? A simple conversation. Maybe when you just relaxing with your hot cup of tea or coffee, maybe when you are just sitting watching the rain or the stars, or maybe even a bird hopping around or swimming lazily in the water. Yes, it is talk 'to' your problems, not about them.  But aren't problems something we all vehemently avoid, resist, and try to run away from? So why would we talk 'to' our problems? And even if we did, what do we tell our problems? It is definitely not something like a lament, complaint, or cynical comment. It is also not one out of self-pity, from a place of a victim or a defeatist.  I also accept not all problems can have this approach, but a lot of problems can give some interesting insights if we just decide to talk to them.  So how to talk 'to' our problems?   It can be as simple as this "I understand you are in my life for a reason, to either help me

Tell yourself a different story

And how has it been slowly but steadily shaping up your life?  The stories can have words like I am not worthy, not good enough, I always have bad luck, it never works for me, I never win, money keeps running out, I am not pretty enough, etc. I am sure you get the gist.  Over time these words can wrap around us like a security blanket, something which we refuse to let go. Be it health, finances or relationships of any kind.  With this responsibility also comes the realization that if the cause of the problem lies within them, so does the power to make any changes that may be needed to shift the energy of the problem.  Once the energy of the problem is shifted, the problem has to shift. A lot of us unfortunately try to resist feeling the emotions, mistaking them for control. Others feel them but push them inside. Both ways are almost always counter-productive. It is impossible to control anything without even acknowledging its presence in the first place. All emotions are beautiful, they are our guides. They help us find our answers. They help us connect, they help us bond, they help us understand and they help us express.  The problem is only when we let them slip away from us, or when we cannot stop feeling a certain way or get so carried away in an emotion that it feels like going down a never-ending slippery slope.  So an easier way of controlling our emotions is to first simply pause and try to understand why we are feeling a certain way. But some people are hardwired that way. It is very difficult for them not to feel obligated to put their own interests and well-being aside for the sake of anyone and everyone who approaches them. It is almost as if there is an inbuilt trigger that goes off as soon as they are approached for any kind of work - making it impossible for them to refuse, no matter the effect on their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It also interferes with their time management skills and thus productivity. The fear of being judged, ridiculed and even patronized is so intimidating that holding all these painful thoughts, feelings and emotions inside seem to be a better option.  But we are all well aware of the implications of carrying such heavy baggage around. At the least, it is going to be extremely stressful but if it is held in for too long, it can also cause physical, mental and emotional long-term damage. Making peace with your limitations

It is also common knowledge that we have to move past/release our limiting thoughts and beliefs to get ahead in life. We all come to earth innocent and impressionable. But we also bring with us a lot of influences that have been pre-programmed into our DNA. Influences from our parent's genetic makeup which in turn have been shaped by the genetic makeup of their previous generations and so on.  But we also come with our own special essence - the one that makes us unique. How to stay in The All For The Best vibration

Nothing seems to work out and no matter how much you try, things always fall apart.  So how do get through tough times like that? Release problems to the Universe

Problems that may not be in the forefront, but always lingering in the background, just enough to be persistently annoying and affecting our lives. This is a slightly different topic than the others I've covered so far.  We have focused on finding various aspects to help heal ourselves from different matters of the mind and body.  There are however a whole lot of people on this planet who suffer from similar problems as we do but are unaware of alternative healing modalities that might help them in multiple ways.  This is a short post with just a suggestion to add one line along with each time you tap.
