Every moment is an opportunity...

We are waiting for opportunities, opportunities that can change our lives, opportunities to make more money, to meet the love of our life, to get healthier, to feel happier etc.

And yes, opportunities come and go, and a lot of times we also carry in our hearts the regret of missed opportunities. Should have, would have,  could have fills the spaces of the missed opportunities. But what if I told you that you've an opportunity every moment of your life. The more you notice it, become aware of it , grab it and do something with it, the more you are letting the universe know that I am here, I am ready, and you can bring me more opportunities.

I don't even have to tell you what will happen next. But, of course I will.. :) The ever seeing Universe is of course going to notice that you are trying to make the best of every opportunity and then give you more.

So, instead of rambling any further, I am going to take this opportunity to tell you  about how many opportunities lie in a single moment.

Every moment is an opportunity to for a new start.
Every moment is an opportunity to choose differently.
Every moment is an opportunity to let go of something that is no longer serving you.
Every moment is an opportunity to respond differently.
Every moment is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself.

Every moment is an opportunity to smile :)
Every moment is an opportunity to make someone smile.
Every moment is an opportunity to love.
Every moment is an opportunity to appreciate.
Every moment is an opportunity to forgive.
Every moment is an opportunity to say a kind word.
Every moment is an opportunity to trust the Universe.
Every moment is an opportunity to heal.
Every moment is an opportunity to breathe.
Every moment is an opportunity to do nothing.
Every moment is an opportunity to do something.

Every moment is an opportunity to just be in the moment.
Every moment is an opportunity to feel hope.
Every moment is an opportunity to give hope.
Every moment is an opportunity to take a step back and reflect.
Every moment is an opportunity to move forward.
Every moment is an opportunity to soften resistance.
Every moment is an opportunity to receive.
Every moment is an opportunity to become aware.
Every moment is an opportunity to hug yourself.
Every moment is an opportunity to laugh.
Every moment is an opportunity to be open to life.
Every moment is an opportunity to soften resistance.
Every moment is an opportunity to awe.
Every moment is an opportunity to trust yourself a little more deeply.
Every moment is an opportunity to accept.
Every moment is an opportunity to align.

Not every moment will feel profound.
Some moments will feel messy, uncertain, uncomfortable, or ordinary.
But even then, possibility exists in every single moment.

Not every moment is perfect— But every moment gives you another opportunity to respond differently, see differently, choose differently, or return to yourself again.

Isn't that the beauty of life?
That no matter where you are…
no matter what you’ve experienced…
no matter how stuck things may feel…
Nothing is ever completely fixed.

There is always another moment arriving.
And within that moment…
there is always the potential for something new.

I wish you all unlimited moments filled with unlimited potential and I hope I've made the best of this opportunity to make you smile. :)

Control your emotions?

An often misunderstood sentence is 'Control your emotions before your emotions control you'. A lot of us unfortunately try to resist feeling the emotions, mistaking them for control. Others feel them but push them inside. Both ways are almost always counter-productive. It is impossible to control anything without even acknowledging its presence in the first place. All emotions are beautiful, they are our guides. They help us find our answers. They help us connect, they help us bond, they help us understand and they help us express.  The problem is only when we let them slip away from us, or when we cannot stop feeling a certain way or get so carried away in an emotion that it feels like going down a never-ending slippery slope.  So an easier way of controlling our emotions is to first simply pause and try to understand why we are feeling a certain way. To do that we first have to accept and acknowledge we are feel...

Weave gratitude into your life

We all know the power of gratitude. We all know, the more we have to be thankful for, the more we have opportunities to be thankful for. This is possibly one of the most well-known mantras since the time people understood the concept of the law of attraction. But still, the moment we get caught up in our daily life, gratitude more often than not slips way back into our priority lists. Have you noticed that the only time you are holding on to the attitude of gratitude is when you are present in the here and now?  So accepted and acknowledged that we in our daily lives have enough attractions, distractions, to-do lists, not-to-do lists, etc. which all come together from making sure we are all not always in a state of gratitude.  The universe is very smart, it has given us the tool to achieve so many things, but also made sure the only way we can use it is by being present....

Create a gratitude group

After my last post 'Weave gratitude into your life', one of the main questions I was asked was how to ensure being present. As I mentioned in the previous article, we have no shortage of distractions in our everyday life as every single second, minute, and hour slips away from us before we even realize it is gone.  I also gave a method by which we can consciously focus on being grateful throughout the day.  In this article, I want to suggest another method that can possibly be even more fun in our journey towards a more grateful living. Get a group of friends you can connect with and create a gratitude group. You can help each other and guide each other to stay on the path of gratitude. You can even help each other notice more things to be grateful for.  Even if, in a group of 3-4 people, each can have 2 things to be grateful for twice a week, it is a good place to start.  There are times when some of us feel ...
