The fear of the Big Change

It is ironic that the moment we realize EFT works it gets scary, the kind of changes we can have once we let go of our issues, how our lives will change, getting out of our comfort zone where we have settled down cozily with the problems at hand, being comfortable with a bit of complaining about it on and off rather than face the changes a better life would bring in... more responsibilities? more friends? a bigger social circle? a more active life? more finances to manage? better weight?

... naaaaa..... who is ready to deal with all that ... this is a perfect place for us to be in... crib a little, complain on and off... and life will go on as is.... but to not feel guilty about not doing anything, we do skim along with a bit of EFT... just enough to not feel really miserable.... bit apart from that stay as close to the comfort zone as possible.

So how do we deal with this? yes, a big change can be a real challenge, and that itself can lead to resistance .... in doing EFT itself.

You want a lot more friends ... yet the thought of accommodating so many of them in your life is both exciting and scary.. scary leads to resistance leading to blocks and not even being ready to tap anymore...better of a loner,....start tapping for being open to just one or 2 more friends at first... take it slow...

You want 10 times more money than what you are getting now... and you brain starts working super fast, taxes, financial management, safety, whatever are you going to do with that kind of money? will my family and friends still accept me ?...boom....resistance... and then avoidance..

It does not matter how hungry you are... even the biggest meal can be had only one mouthful at a time...The end picture however beautiful and awesome your dreams maybe can also be a bit scary, since it is unfamiliar and uncharted territory for you. But if you know the direction you want to go in, then even a step at a time will help you build up the momentum.

Every flight needs some time on the runway before taking off, every high jumper needs to build up momentum in their run to get the highest height.

Doing EFT for weight loss? what's your goal? to lose 20 Kilos? how bout tapping for losing just 2 kilos and maintaining it for a while and then moving on.

The bigger goal is not such a scary thing for all, but for some it takes some getting used to, to allow themselves to feel that they deserve to achieve that goal. That includes me... :) as the subconscious mind starts getting trained in achieving the goal in smaller chunks, the scary part starts diminishing. You can start training yourself for the success you desire and deserve, bit by bit, one step at a time.

Sounds good? :) well, then what are you waiting for? Tap away and see you all soon...:)

- Sometimes we keep our problems around us as a safety net to protect ourselves from something else. That can be tricky. We will explore the possibilities of that in a later blog.

Procrastination Vs Perfectionism

Pebbles photo created by rawpixel.com - www.freepik.com Are you a perfectionist? Is it really hard for you to move ahead or complete your tasks till it is all perfect? And even then do you keep coming back to check everything is good enough or can it be improved further?  Does this quest for perfectionism keep you stuck in the same spot for too long because you would rather see this as perfect than what lies ahead?  The need to be perfect may by itself have its roots elsewhere, but sometimes it may just hold you back in a place of "I am not ready to move ahead"  or "I am still not done here" even when others see no apparent reason for you to be doing what you are.  Don't get me wrong, perfectionism also means you see things others don't and are incredibly grateful you stuck to your decisions to not just settle. But when you start noticing yourself procrastinating o...

Make energy cleanse a regular ritual

Image By tohamina I recently felt the full impact of an energy attack. I thought I was protecting my energy well, but I realized I had not done enough. We all go through such attacks at least a few times in our lives. But what's most important are the choices we make when such an attack occurs.  These attacks want us to make the wrong choices. It gives them more leverage. When I experienced this energy attack, possibly one of the longest running attacks, it took me a while to realize it.  It felt as if everyone and everything was against me. I was experiencing feelings and emotions that did not feel like mine. All I wanted to do was to rave and rant.  But once I realized that all of it felt unnatural, I knew I've to start moving out all these energies that weren't mine. They felt like iron filings clinging on to a magnet. I worked on clearing this energy out everyday, till the source...

The power of a boomerang curse

Image by stockking on Freepik I want to share a story with you, something that I personally experienced and that left me so spellbound. There was some illegal activity happening in the neighborhood and as residents of the area, most of us were rightly concerned and were trying to handle it legally. But in the process, one of the concerned persons (let's call them person X) vehemently cursed those involved in the illegal activity (let's call the person Y), wishing destruction upon their property.  I was nearby and heard the curse and the instinctively knew that was not a good sign. My heart skipped a beat and I suddenly felt unsafe. Unfortunately, I did not act upon my instincts and reverse the cure. Sure enough, the curse rebound back in less than a week affecting not just the property of 'person X', but also everyone else nearby, including me.  The damage that happened was EXACTLY the same as what 'person X' had curs...
